How to Add a BISS Key on an Openbox Receiver

  1. Tune to the BISS-Encrypted Channel

    • Use satellite settings that match the channel (e.g., Paksat 1R at 38.0°E, correct frequency, polarization, and symbol rate).

  2. Open the BISS Key Menu

    • On many Openbox models:

      • Highlight the BISS-encrypted channel.

      • Press OK or INFO on your remote.

      • Press the RED button (this often opens the key edit menu).

  3. Enter the Key Data

    • In the BISS edit screen, enter the following items using your remote:

      • Service ID (SID)

      • BISS Key (the hexadecimal 16-digit key you legally obtained)

    • Make sure you input the digits correctly (0–9 and A–F).

  4. Save the Key

    • After entering the key, navigate to Save or press OK to confirm.

    • Wait a few moments — the receiver will attempt to decrypt the channel.

  5. Openbox Receiver and BISS Support

Most Openbox satellite receivers support manual BISS key entry, including popular models such as:

    • Openbox X5 / X6

    • Openbox A5 / A7

    • Openbox S9 / SX series

This makes Openbox a common choice among satellite enthusiasts.
