Sunplus Loader Tool (v1.5.08 / v1.5.0.8) is a Windows utility used to flash (load) firmware or recover “dead” satellite receivers based on Sunplus chipsets (mainly 1506 and 1507 series).

Supported Chipsets

• Sunplus 1506G, 1506T, 1506C, 1506F, 1506A, 1506TV, etc.
• Sunplus 1507G
• Also works on related older models such as 1502, 1503, 1505, 1512

What You Need

• Windows PC
• RS232 serial cable (DB9 male-to-female; many people use a modified/null-modem style cable for these boxes)
• Correct firmware file (usually .bin or similar) matching your flash size (4 MB / 8 MB / 16 MB)
• Receiver power supply

How to Use (Standard Steps)

1. Connect the RS232 cable between the PC COM port and the receiver’s RS232 port. Keep the receiver powered off.
2. Open Sunplus Loader.
3. Go to the UartIsp section.
4. Select the correct COM port (or click RefreshComp to detect it).
5. Choose DDR Type:
   • DDR2 → for 4 MB flash software
   • DDR3 → for 8 MB (and usually 16 MB) flash software
6. Click SelectRomFile and choose your firmware file.
7. Click Start.
8. Power on the receiver. The upgrade process should begin automatically. Do not interrupt it.
9. Wait until it reaches 100% / success message, then disconnect and test the box.

Many packages of v1.5.0.8 include English and Urdu guidance files.

Important Notes

• Wrong firmware or incorrect DDR setting can brick the receiver further.
• Always use a stable power supply during the process.
• The tool is portable (no installation needed in most cases) — just run the .exe.
• Common uses: recovering red-light / dead boxes, changing software, or loading new firmware when USB update fails.
