Upgrade

1. Download the firmware
   Get the file from:
2. Prepare the USB stick
   • Format the USB as FAT32 (right-click → Format → File system: FAT32).
   • Copy only the .bin file to the root of the USB (do not put it inside any folder).
   • Safely eject the USB.
3. Insert the USB
   Plug the USB stick into the USB port of the S300 4K receiver.
4. Start the upgrade
   • Press the Menu button on the remote.
   • Go to one of these common paths (exact wording may vary slightly):
     • Menu → Tools → Upgrade via USB
     • Menu → System Settings → USB Upgrade / Software Upgrade
     • Menu → USB → Upgrade
   • Select the file S300_4K_V1.11.24544_20260908.bin.
   • Choose Start / OK and confirm.
5. Wait for completion
   The receiver will show a progress bar.
   The process usually takes 3–8 minutes.
   The box will automatically reboot when finished.
6. After reboot (recommended)
   • Go to Menu → System Info and check that the version is now V1.11.24544.
   • Perform a factory reset if channels or settings look strange (Menu → System → Factory Reset, password usually 0000).
   • Re-scan satellites if needed.

Extra Tips

• Some StarSat menus have a Dump option — use it first if available to back up your current software.
• If the USB is not detected, try another stick or re-format it.
• Keep the receiver connected to a stable power source (UPS recommended if possible).
